program Director
Carrie Brunk conceived and manages Ridgeway including program design, facilitation, coaching, organizational development support, fundraising and all aspects of program coordination. Her work in Ridgeway builds on 20 years of organizational development, coalition- and network-building experience including ongoing independent contract work with organizations in Kentucky and throughout the U.S. She is a Kentuckian who grew up and went to school in state, left for about a decade and happily found her way back home, settling on Clear Creek in Rockcastle County in the Appalachian foothills.
As a facilitator, Carrie comes to Ridgeway as a co-learner with all of the participants and continues her own practices of personal and professional development concurrent with the program. In addition to personal experience, her professional and organizational development training has been guided primarily by the Social Transformation Project, Presence-Based Coaching, generative somatics, the former Social Justice Leadership (SJL) and through joint programming of SJL and the Rockwood Leadership Institute, all of which have had a strong influence on the genesis and curriculum of this program.
